They see themselves more as guardians of the rich past than as owners.

Their home is filled with treasures and stories from the past, and their journey of discovery within these walls caught the attention of KCTV5 News.

From hidden rooms and metal objects in the bricks, to a collection of classic books and silver coins under the floorboards – the Krasneskys' home is a veritable treasure trove.

A Life Among the Treasures
By day, Thad works as an investment advisor, but by night he turns into a writer and explorer, driven by the stories and treasures hidden in his home.

Together with friends he continues his search, determined to uncover every piece of history.

To share his finds and stories, Thad created the Facebook page “Krasnesky Manor for Wayward Cats.”

He also organizes metal detector parties, with proceeds going to the local historical society, and lets others join in on his adventure.
